We’ve been notified of a gift card scam going around. The scammer poses as a banking entity and requests gift cards as payment to unblock the customer’s bank account. Do be aware that banks will not request gift cards in order to settle any outstanding amount. Be diligent and do your research before dealing with any emails from unknown sources on the internet. Official banking emails do not have grammatical errors and are better presented than the following:
